33rd Street Productions is a joint organization between Illinois Tech and the VanderCook College of Music that aims to make theater more accessible to all students on campus. We believe that storytelling is an artform that can entertain, inspire connection, and incite deeper conversations, and we hope to bring that art to a campus that is primarily focused on STEM.

Members of 33rd Street Productions will get hands on experience in the performing arts, gaining skills that are widely applicable in a variety of contexts. Actors will become more comfortable with public speaking and memorization, technicians will get experience with programming and board operation for both lights and sound, set crew will participate in hands on construction and 3D modeling, producers will gain skills in team management and organization, and all members will gain a creative outlet and a community of creative minds.

As a digital hardware focused organization, our goal is to provide a space for interdisciplinary creation of ideas, projects and solutions for real world problems, but most importantly, creating a culture of hacking. By sparking creativity in young minds, we can make ideas come to reality and help IIT become a more engaging and lively community through intellectual challenges. Building on members passion for physical craft and its relation to the digital world, we strive to engage with members through their shared love of electronics, gaming systems, and entertainment media. We also hope to inspire a curiosity and passion for exploring the inner workings of their favorite digital hardware, while providing the space and resources for students to pursue their own digital hardware projects/research.

Our organization wants to create an environment where we promote a culture of competitive “hacking” and creation on campus, as well as passionate hardware projects. We want to give students the space, resources, and opportunities to connect their digital hobbies to their profession. We want a space to share crazy, creative ideas and add liveliness to the campus through engineering and campus-wide puzzles or scavenger hunts that will require students to engage more with their community. We will also provide workshops that will prepare students for hackathons and a myriad of other design competitions.

The purpose of Illinois Tech Algorithmic Trading Club is to provide a structured path to learn about all things related to quantitative finance, financial engineering, and algorithm development.

Our organization will provide crucial learning resources and courses, such as Akuna Capital's Options 101, to enhance members' understanding of quantitative finance and algorithmic trading. By learning together, the organization will foster a collaborative environment where students help one another, consequently furthering the group's understanding of fundamental topics. The club will also undertake practical projects to apply theoretical knowledge, such as developing a FIX (Financial Information eXchange) engine. This project will give members hands-on experience with the industry-standard protocol used for real-time electronic exchange of securities transactions and market data.

The Arabic Debate Club (ADC) empowers students to master Modern Standard Arabic through debate, critical thinking, and meaningful dialogue, fostering confident communicators, engaged scholars, and globally connected leaders.

As a member of ADC, you will be offered official training in Arabic debate format used by Qatar Debate including motion analysis, case building, and rebuttal structure. Beyond strengthening analytical and argumentative skills, this training will be conducted in Arabic, providing students with an opportunity to develop advanced academic and professional communication skills in the language. ADC would create a space where students can articulate complex political, social, economic, and ethical ideas in Arabic with confidence. The ability to analyze motions, construct structured arguments, and deliver persuasive rebuttals in Arabic enhances bilingual fluency and allows students to engage meaningfully with professional opportunities in the Arab world. Motion analysis sharpens a student’s ability to break down complex ideas, which can be an essential skill in engineering and research. Case building reinforces logical reasoning and evidence-based arguments, which can be critical in presentations and academic writing. Rebuttal structure develops quick thinking and the ability to critically evaluate opposing perspectives, skills that could be used in teamwork, discussions, and leadership roles. In addition, members will be eligible to represent the university in regional and international Qatar Debate tournaments and gain access to club resources such as mock debates and recorded sessions for self-improvement. Through these experiences, students strengthen not only their analytical and public speaking skills, but also their connection to the Arabic language as a medium for intellectual discourse.
