The purpose of this club is to educate and engage students who are interested in food science and nutrition through various activities and events.
The purpose of this club is to educate and engage students who are interested in food science and nutrition through various activities and events.
Education: Increased knowledge of food and nutrition topics, including food safety and sanitation, food chemistry, sustainability and health implications of different diets. Professional development: The club will host events to enhance professional development of students such as hosting workshops about resume building, presentation and writing skills, and job interview readiness. Networking opportunities: Members will have a chance to meet other students, professors and industry experts from the food and nutrition areas during various organized events and guest lectures. Practical Skills: Members will have the opportunity to learn new techniques, exposure to product development, formulation of recipes, and tasting sessions to name a few Community engagement: Members will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of community events such as helping at food banks, more engagement at Chicago section IFT events etc.
