Mission The purpose of this club is to educate and engage students who are interested in food science and nutrition through various activities and events.
Membership BenefitsEducation: Increased knowledge of food and nutrition topics, including food safety and sanitation, food chemistry, sustainability and health implications of different diets.Professional development: The club will host events to enhance professional development of students such as hosting workshops about resume building, presentation and writing skills, and job interview readiness.Networking opportunities: Members will have a chance to meet other students, professors and industry experts from the food and nutrition areas during various organized events and guest lectures.Practical Skills: Members will have the opportunity to learn new techniques, exposure to product development, formulation of recipes, and tasting sessions to name a fewCommunity engagement: Members will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of community events such as helping at food banks, more engagement at Chicago section IFT events etc.
