Mission
The SPARC Scholars Community exists to help academically talented, SPARC eligible students in Illinois Tech's School of Computing thrive together. We envision a tight-knit cohort where scholars in AI, computer science, cybersecurity, data science, mathematics, and statistics support one another academically, build professional confidence, and graduate ready to lead in the computing workforce — proving that financial need is no barrier to becoming a top technologist.

Membership Benefits
A built-in peer network of SPARC scholars; Direct access to faculty mentors, alumni industry mentors, and upperclassman peer mentors; Study groups, tutoring exchanges, and course/major planning advice from students who've taken the path Internship, research, and co-op leads, plus resume, interview, and portfolio workshops Team competitions, hackathons, and real-world open-ended project opportunities Social and cohort-building events that make a large campus feel small A collective voice to program leadership on what scholars need to succeed
