The lessons in JDEdge will provide you with a solid foundation for the critical skills you will need to succeed as a law student.

JD Edge Glossary

JDEdge demystifies the law school learning process and covers critical topics such as reading and briefing cases, engaging in class, taking effective notes, strategic studying, exam expectations, and more.

Academic Skills Program

The goal of the Academic Skills Program (ASP) is to ensure that all of our students maximize their academic potential as they encounter the rigors of law school. In collaboration with doctrinal faculty, the Offices of Academic Affairs and Student Services, and the Legal Research and Writing Program, ASP seeks to empower students to become independent, self-regulating learners, capable of increasing their learning effectiveness in law school and in practice.

Workshops

In the fall we hold a 1L Workshop Series which focuses on the basic skills needed for law school success.

Small Group Sessions

The ASP Small Group Sessions are weekly, one-hour, teaching assistant-led workshops that strengthen the essential academic and legal reasoning skills students need to succeed in their doctrinal courses.
