The purpose of Illinois Tech Algorithmic Trading Club is to provide a structured path to learn about all things related to quantitative finance, financial engineering, and algorithm development.
Our organization will provide crucial learning resources and courses, such as Akuna Capital's Options 101, to enhance members' understanding of quantitative finance and algorithmic trading. By learning together, the organization will foster a collaborative environment where students help one another, consequently furthering the group's understanding of fundamental topics. The club will also undertake practical projects to apply theoretical knowledge, such as developing a FIX (Financial Information eXchange) engine. This project will give members hands-on experience with the industry-standard protocol used for real-time electronic exchange of securities transactions and market data.
