Faculty Spotlight: New Research Publication
Congratulations to Li Cai, Associate Professor of Finance, on the acceptance of her article, “Causal Structure of International Stock Markets,” in the North American Journal of Economics and Finance.
The article is coauthored with Stuart PhD student Jiachen Liu, highlighting the collaborative research taking place within the Stuart community.
Students and faculty are invited to explore the publication through this limited-time free access link, available through March 29, 2026.

Apply to Be the 2025–2026 Student Commencement Speaker
Graduating this year and interested in addressing your class at Commencement? Illinois Tech is now accepting applications for student speakers.
Eligible students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, be actively involved in the Illinois Tech community, and have experience in public speaking. To apply, submit the student commencement speaker application, along with your resume and a draft of your speech, by Friday, March 6, 2026.
Finalists will be invited to present their speech to the Commencement Committee, and two students will be selected, one per ceremony.
Walk-in Advising Hours: At the downtown campus, students can meet with an Academic Advisor during the times listed below. When you arrive, please "check in" at the reception desk by Room 401C. Students will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis, and no appointments are taken or required.
