Experience business strategy unfolding in real time, vote for your favorite team, and network with investors, founders, and community leaders from firms like Techstars, Hyde Park Venture Partners, LongJump VC, and more. Join us April 24 at the Kaplan Institute and be sure to register in advance!

Grainger Computing Innovation Prize Info Session – Open to ALL Students - $30,000 in Prizes

Attention Illinois Tech Bachelor’s and Master’s Students: Do you have a bold idea that could make a real difference in the world? Here’s your chance to bring it to life. The Grainger Computing Innovation Prize invites ALL Illinois Tech bachelor’s and master’s students from ANY major to use computing, data science, and AI for social good.

Over the fall semester, teams will compete for $30,000 in prizes:

1st Place: $15,000
2nd Place: $10,000
3rd Place: $5,000

Information Session
Tuesday, March 24 | 12:45–1:45 p.m. | MTCC Ballroom

Join us for the Information Session event to learn more, ask questions, connect with mentors, and meet potential teammates. Lunch will be provided for students who register in advance.

Who Can Join

  • Open to ALL Illinois Tech bachelor’s and master’s students in any discipline
  • Entries must include an element of computing
  • Teams of two to five students may register, but it must include one undergraduate student per team

Academic Advising

Term B (Second 8 Week Courses) Will Start This Week!

Term B courses begin the week of March 9, 2026. The last day to add or drop an 8-week course that runs from March to May with no tuition charges is Sunday, March 15 at 11:59 pm CT.

Meeting with an Advisor

Undergraduate Academic Advising: Master’s Academic Advising:
  • Walk-in Advising Hours: At the downtown campus, students can meet with an Academic Advisor during the times listed below. When you arrive, please "check in" at the reception desk by Room 401C. Students will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis, and no appointments are taken or required. 
    • Week of March 8:
      • Tuesday, March 10, from 4-6 pm (Justine, Yesenia, and Yumiko)
      • Thursday, March 12, from 4-6 pm (Justine, Yumiko)

Spring Break Company Site Visits

The Career Management Center is hosting Spring Break Company Site Visits on March 17, 2026, giving Illinois Tech students the opportunity to visit leading organizations in finance and investment management.

Participating companies include Capital One and Ariel Investments.

This opportunity is open to all Illinois Tech students, including undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students. Space is limited, so be sure to register soon.

Registration closes March 12 at 11:59 pm.

Stuart CMC at MTCC
