Downtown Campus Spring 2026 Building and Library Hours
Reserve a Locker on CLC 4th Floor - Limited Availability!
Unlock the convenience of having your own, personal, customizable space on the CLC 4th floor! at no cost and on a first-come, first-served basis, current Stuart students can reserve an individual locker OR partner with a friend and jointly share a locker by completing the Locker Request Form. Both students must complete the request form if partnering to share a locker. Priority will be given to students with accommodation documentation on file with the Office of Disability Resources. Locker assignments last one year, with the opportunity to renew annually until graduation. Anyone unable to secure a locker now will have another chance in September.
Mies Campus Facilities: Hangout, Study, and Recharge
Galvin Tower Stuart Lounge: Located on the 18th floor of the building, this lounge is equipped with an outlet station and various seating options for studying or group meetings.
Jon & Pat Anderson Café: Located inside the Kaplan Institute, this café offers a variety of pastries, breakfast sandwiches, wraps, and hot or cold drinks. Check out the full menu here. The café's hours are as follows:

Monday through Friday: 8:00am - 3:00pm
Saturday: Closed
The Bog: Located on the lower level of Hermann Hall, The Bog is a cool, subterranean, on-campus hangout that has been a popular gathering space for students since 1962. Enjoy free bowling in our eight-lane bowling alley, or play video games, arcade games, darts, billiards, foosball, air hockey, and ping pong. You can also catch live music or stand-up comedy performances.
Paul V. Galvin Library: Located at 35 West 33rd Street, the library offers a wealth of services, events, and tools. Want to browse popular publications like the New York Times and Wall Street Journal? Looking for scholarly journals and databases like Business Source Ultimate and Harvard Business Review? Check out Galvin Library! Access online resources from anywhere in the world or visit the Mies Campus to browse our physical collection. Librarians are here to help with research questions, or you can contact the library's Business Liaison, Anri Brod. The library’s hours are as follows (or view their extended hours here):
Sunday: 1pm - 9pm
Monday through Thursday: 8am - 10pm
Friday: 8am - 5pm
Saturday: 9am - 5pm
Downtown Campus Facilities
Conviser Law Center Library: Located on the 8th through 10th floors of the building.
Fitness Center: Located on the Concourse level. This 2,061-square-foot facility includes treadmills, elliptical cross trainers, a stair climber, weight machines, free weights, kettlebells, and medicine balls. Showers and changing rooms with lockers are also available, making it convenient to schedule a workout between classes.
To access the Fitness Center, complete the Fitness Center Enrollment Form. All students are charged a $25 per semester fee (fall and spring), which covers equipment maintenance, towel service, and general supplies.
Game Room: Located on the fifth floor, this space gives students a comfortable place to relax and enjoy a variety of board and table games. Student organizations can request to reserve the room for social events and activities.
Meditation Room: Room C86, located in the southeast hallway of the Concourse level, is available for meditation or quiet contemplation.
Lactation Room: A lactation room is available in the Library. For more information, please contact Jenna Abhijeet at jabhijeet@kentlaw.iit.edu or 312-906-5005.
Academic Advising
Upcoming Important Dates
January 12: Academic Courses Begin January 13: ACE (SSB 510/511/512) classes begin. Attendance is crucial for your final grade in ACE, so be there for class in person. January 18: Last Day to Add or Drop First 8-week Session Courses with a 100% Tuition Refund January 19: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day—No Classes January 20: Last Day to Add or Drop a Full-Semester Class with a 100% Tuition Refund
International Students: If you are registered less than full-time and only need 1 or 2 courses to graduate, you must fill out the Reduced Course Load form via the ISSS portal.
January 23: Monday Classes Meet (Dr. King's Birthday Makeup) January 27: Tuition and Fees Due & Last Day to Request a Late Registration
All support inquiries should be sent to stuartadvising@illinoistech.edu. You can find important academic dates on the Illinois Tech Academic Calendar. You are responsible for keeping track of important dates and deadlines.
To apply for graduation, go to your "Student Dashboard" in the portal and click the link that says, "Apply to Graduate." Follow the steps to submit your request to graduate.
All students who are eligible to participate in the 2025-26 Illinois Tech Commencement–this includes Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026 graduates–will eventually need to RSVP (complete a Ceremony Response Form) for Commencement. More information will become available on the Illinois Tech Commencement website.
International students:
Illinois Tech does not provide any form of documentation for Commencement guest visas.
Also, international students may want to check out details about the OPT (Optional Practical Training) process and attend some of the OPT workshop events hosted by the Office of Global Services.
Tuition for Spring Semester
The deadline to pay fall tuition and fees in full is January 27, 2026. If you have questions about your student bill and how to pay, please check out the Student Accounting site.
Stuart scholarships are usually applied to student accounts after the add/drop deadline. If you already know how much scholarship award you will receive, go ahead and subtract that award amount from your current bill and pay the balance.
Walk-in Advising Hours: At the downtown campus, students can meet with an Academic Advisor during the times listed below. When you arrive, please "check in" at the reception desk by Room 401C. Students will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis, and no appointments are taken or required.
