AWS Jam is a hands-on cloud challenge run inside a managed AWS sandbox. You solve scenarios built from real operations problems — not slides, not a lecture — and points post to the leaderboard as you clear them. Clues are available inside each scenario when you get stuck.

Three tracks run at the same time: introductory, intermediate, and advanced. You do not need prior AWS experience to compete. Individual challenges run from about 20 minutes to two hours, so you can go deep on one or sweep several.

Challenge topics include AWS operations, security, artificial intelligence, and cloud technology. Everything runs in a sandbox, so nothing you do touches university systems.

Open to every major and every level — undergraduate, graduate, PhD, first-year, and transfer students.

WHAT TO BRING: your own laptop and charger.

WHY RSVP MATTERS: registration is how your account access and event credentials get created ahead of time. Sign up late and you will spend your first stretch getting set up instead of competing. Arrive a little earlier to set up your laptop for the competition.
