Mission
We, the American String Teachers Association student members at VanderCook College of Music, are interested in string teaching, performing, and scholarship. We work to create a more efficient and energetic community of diverse members to promote string teaching, playing, and learning in Illinois. We also to provide a means of organizing activities for the student body to promote string education and performance.

Membership Benefits
Members will get the opportunity to learn good practice in string education and build a community with like-minded individuals. We attend the annual ASTA conference, providing our members multiple opportunities for professional development.
